Tip for Students #2 Apply for jobs [before] graduation

It is smart to apply for jobs before graduation.

Excuses that College Seniors Make:
1. “Sounds great! But I will have a 6 month grace period for my loans when I graduate.”
2. “No worries, man. I can apply for jobs later. I am planning on taking the summer off anyways.”
3. “Nah. If I am not doing homework, I only have time for Facebook.”

I did not apply for jobs before graduation. And lately I have been making excuses too.

Excuse Unemployed Recent Grads Make:
1. “Nah. I can’t go out. I am broke.”

Tip for Students: #1 Get a Savings Account

(First – I want to say thank you to everyone who is following!)

I just realized that I do not have a saving account.

It gets worse.

I am so broke that I can not afford a saving account. I went to my bank yesterday to open a savings account. However; they require you to deposit a minimum balance into the account every month.

How can you deposit a minimum balance into a savings account without having money?

Introduction

Here I am ……  a university graduate of 2013.  Business Degree.  I am $100,000 in debt.

I love to complain, point and blame but in the end I signed the papers. And I clicked “I agree”.

My vision for this blog is to provide hope and encouragement to current and future students (or anyone!) in large amounts of debt.

I am 21 …. unemployed …. and my goal is to get rid of $100,000 (with interest) before I am 30. *Poof!*

Feel free to come along… and join with me on this journey.
